Great Ocean Drive
The Great Ocean Road is one of the most iconic coastal drives in Australia. It’s vastly changing scenery keeps the drive engaging. The roads go from bright blue ocean to overgrown trees then as you turn a corner you are suddenly driving through high rock mountains that tower along the sides of the road. The drive alone is brilliant.
The Great Ocean Road is windy and the stopping points for the lookouts can get very dangerous when all the cars are parked along the side of the road. The drive can be done in a caravan but you might not be able to stop as there won’t be enough room. Check out this blog The Hidden Treasures Of The Great Ocean Road.
Melbourne City
Melbourne is a city well known right the way around the world. All of the major sporting events are held here and is famous for its trams and shopping. It really wasn’t our scene, it was a bit too busy for us but it was great to explore and see some of those touristy attractions that you hear so much about. Here you find a blog post of all the great things to do when in Melbourne City.
Geelong
We loved Geelong and cannot wait to return. The ideal times to visit would be during the months of October- March. The weather is warm and the summer activities are always running. The foreshore is a highlight and is a major tourist attraction.
